Writing Challenge – Death and Taxes

It is that time of year again and the taxes are due, or if you are lucky you will be receiving a refund fairly soon. Most people regardless of whether they have to pay or are on the receiving end, don’t like doing their taxes; some people down right hate it. Your writing challenge this week is to think about those things that are difficult to do or that you just really don’t want to do. There are plenty of instances in our lives of things we would rather not do and for many reasons find ourselves doing them.

Dam Burst Prompt:

For this week you can write fiction or non-fiction. Write about a time that you, or your character, had to do something you really didn’t want to do and the truth that came from the doing of it.

Wet Feet Prompt:

Start the sentence with, I remember the time I had to… and keep writing. If you get stuck start the next sentence again with, I remember the time I had to…

You have 750 words to work with but if you feel finished in less by all means use less.  Remember to link back to this post. We look forward to reading your posts.

Nicole is the contributor for the theme this week.
