Community Link-up 1

The team here at Story Dam decided that we would like to create more of an atmosphere of community and this is one of the ways that we are working toward achieving that. We hope that when you link up your weekly free link from here on out you will think of it as your Community Link-up; a link that you wish to share with your Story Dam Community.

Every week we will be displaying themed photos for spring, summer, fall, and winter with the idea of community and connecting. Such as a picture of your family having a picnic at the park. Since this was kind of last minute, today we chose a picture that represents spring at the park. Please send in your photos that you would like to share on the Community Link-Up post to

The Link-up:

This week link up the post that surprised you in some way.  Whether it was the response that you received for it or because you had an epiphany from writing it. Leave a comment below telling us how it surprised you. Remember to visit your neighbors at minimum, participate in a few of the weekly prompt challenges, and/or share the love by chatting us up on Twitter, Facebook and anywhere else you like to hang out.

Have a terrific week!

The Story Dam Team

  1. I choose what I had written on the first day of National Novel Writing Month last year.

I was suprised by it because it was the first time I participated, and I was shocked that I got so much done (slightly over what I should have) on day one.

While I did get to 50,000 words, I have yet to finish the story.

  2. Back in Jan. 2011 my northern neighbors were being slammed with the worst winter storms in years. I live in Florida, and at the time it was the only state not getting snow. I posted a collection of photos I had taken at a nearby beach. This was my most popular post… ever. I do what I can to spread a little sunshine.
