M is for Making Mistakes

If you aren’t making mistakes you are probably staying in your comfort zone, that nice cushy place that feels safe and warm. It’s a great place to be but if you want to take your writing to the next level, allow yourself to make mistakes, lots of them, and then learn from those mistakes.

Are you afraid to make mistakes or do you allow yourself to make them regularly? What have you been avoiding in your writing because you’ve been afraid of making mistakes?

  1. I’ve made plenty of mistakes and I tend to be extremely harsh on myself in the moment, but in the long run I always find a way to make it a learning experience. Far too many people shy away from even the possibility of making mistakes and therefore live extremely dull lives. None of that for me, bring on the adventure! If I fall down it teaches me to get back up, right?
