The key to building a community is effort. You have to work at it and reach out to others and connect. Slowly, but steadily, we have been doing that here at Story Dam. Our Thursday chats can get pretty hopping and we have great discussions and fun. Tui always asks for ideas on topics and I blogged and asked what this site can do for other writers.

But, as the saying goes: when it rains, it pours.

We do our best here to blog consistently and be chatty on Twitter, but sometimes life butts in and demands attention and we can’t devote as much time as we’d like to this community. It’s not a bad thing, though. For a while, we’ve been toying with the idea of guest posts, so this might be a blessing in disguise.

If you have a writing or publishing topic you have some insight or expertise on, we want to hear from you.

Email me at or with your post attached. Include a short bio and a picture of yourself. If you have a book to pimp, leave a link and we’ll add it to your bio. Please, no swearing or vulgar language. We reserve the right to vet the submissions.

About Patricia Lynne 208 Articles
Patricia Lynne never set out to become a writer, and in fact, she was more interested in art and band in high school and college. On a whim, she wrote down a story bouncing in her head. That was the start of it and she hasn't regretted a moment. Patricia lives with her husband in Michigan, hopes one day to have what will resemble a small petting zoo, and has a fondness for dying her hair the colors of the rainbow. She writes New Adult under the pen name Patricia Josephine.
