The key to building a community is effort. You have to work at it and reach out to others and connect. Slowly, but steadily, we have been doing that here at Story Dam. Our Thursday chats can get pretty hopping and we have great discussions and fun. Tui always asks for ideas on topics and I blogged and asked what this site can do for other writers.
But, as the saying goes: when it rains, it pours.
We do our best here to blog consistently and be chatty on Twitter, but sometimes life butts in and demands attention and we can’t devote as much time as we’d like to this community. It’s not a bad thing, though. For a while, we’ve been toying with the idea of guest posts, so this might be a blessing in disguise.
If you have a writing or publishing topic you have some insight or expertise on, we want to hear from you.
Email me at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org with your post attached. Include a short bio and a picture of yourself. If you have a book to pimp, leave a link and we’ll add it to your bio. Please, no swearing or vulgar language. We reserve the right to vet the submissions.
