What is the April A to Z Challenge?
Each April, bloggers from all over the world participate in the April A to Z blog challenge. To play along, all you do is make a blog post for each letter of the alphabet during April, then visit the A to Z Blog, Facebook page, or use the hashtag #AtoZChallenge to visit as many other bloggers as you can. It’s a lot of fun and it’s a great way to meet other bloggers.
Want to play along with us?
Since 2014, Story Dam folks have been taking part in the April A to Z challenge. This year, we thought it would be fun to have members of our writing community join in, so we asked for volunteers at the February 23rd #StoryDam Twitter chat.
We have a few volunteers…
From my notes, it looks like @PenPaperPad @fluidghost @ConnieBDowell @deb_atwood all volunteered to write an April A to Z post for us! If you volunteered at chat and I missed you, let me know. It wasn’t intentional!
…but we need more – like you!
Also, if you weren’t at chat, but would like to write an A to Z Challenge guest post for us, now’s the time to speak up.
Here’s what we need:
Writing an A to Z Challenge post can be quick, easy and fun. (For inspiration, check out what we’ve posted here in previous years for the A to Z challenge: Story Dam A to Z Challenge posts) Here’s what we need from you:
QUOTE: Find an inspirational quote that relates to writing. Short quotes are best!
WRITE A BRIEF POST: Next, briefly tell us why you find this particular quote helpful in your creative process. Keep this to 300 words or less. For A to Z posts, shorter is better!
PHOTOS? If you have the perfect photo for your quote, great. If not, don’t worry! We will find a photo to go with your post.
BIO: Include a brief bio (50 words or less) and link to your website, if you have one. We will link to them from your guest post!
DEADLINE: We need to have your A to Z quote and guest post no later than Saturday, March 18th.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: If you would like to take part in the challenge, let us know by leaving a comment on this blog post. We will contact you through the email you use to leave the comment and work out all the details from there, such as which letter of the alphabet you will be writing for, et cetera! The main thing we need to know right now is who will be participating!
